AHEM! I know i'm a guy but i can't resist creating a thread of my favorite FF7 character, Aeris or Aerith. I know, i know she died, but i love her and I can see some high possibilities of her being more then a flashback in Advent Children.
I like Aeris because she was always there for Cloud to cheer him up and she was the energy that attracted me. There is no one that i know of that even comes close to having Aeris personality or looks. She is very unique. When i see flowers i think of Aeris... :love: Does anyone else like Aeris??

I mean if he didn't love her he wouldn't be mourning her

Aerith is a great character. I actually didn't like her much at the start, but after she sacrificed herself, I started liking her more. Kind of ironic, huh?

Anyway, then more and more after FF7 and with AC coming out, I started liking Aerith more. However, I don't think she'll come back in AC in any form of revival. I used to think she was probably just appearing in a dream sequence for Cloud or perhaps some sort of alternate planar of existence that gives heed to Cloud; but never really being brought back to life again. And in the TGS trailer I think the scene where Cloud and her are standing next to each other; doesn't it sort of support that theory? In the fact that Cloud's just truly demobilized by his strong sense of guilt and wrongdoing, and he had to find it in himself to break free of that--to fight again. That scene sort of accomplishes that, and later we see Tifa narrate about how Cloud seemed to overcome his own worst enemy, as he leaps into the air after Bahamut.

Anyway, regardless, Aerith is a very main and important character and certainly deserves her loyal fanbase!

I've always liked Aerith not because of her sacrifice (well, that made me like her even more) but because she could always put on a smile despite the dreary situations they found themselves to be in.

She could always see the best in everyone and bring out the best in everyone, believing in their hidden strengths even when they hadn't discovered those strengths for themselves yet. It takes a lot of faith to be able to do that, especially if the fate of the world depended on it.

But as others have said, I seriously doubt she'll be brought back to life. From the screenshots, she simply serves as a doorway for Cloud to finally exit from the world of guilt he's been in ever since Sephiroth killed her. Again, she believes in his ability to get out of his predicament even before he knew there was an exit.

Aerit's sacrifice, was it really a sacrifice, i thought it was just her praying and Sephiorth came down and it happen so quick for Cloud too. I would be heart struck to see a girl that i'm becoming close to die right in front of my eyes and thats what its showing in AC now. Cloud even admits it to her, "I just let you die right in front of my eyes."
One of my friends like FF7 because of her death, saying that it was so cool because when in a game does a villian kill a good person? HMN....I can't think of another game....Aerith brings out Cloud and i agree that she's there to help him out in AC, bring him out of misery. GO AERIS!!

Aerith is the first person you see in FF7. Despite the world in which she lives in, she's not depressed, worried, anxious...It doesn't really seem to bother her in a sense that she's content with what she has. That's something very unique of her. And plus, she dresses in such bright colors..Colors of kindness and hope. A very strong character also. Now that I think of it...isn't she the real hero (yes...HERO) of this game/story? More than Cloud...IMO.

Well, Aerith is "back" in the sense that she helps Cloud overcome his guilt and whatnot. But if you're talking about an actual revival, I doubt that'll happen. I've never known anyone to come back to life after being run through by a sword as long as the Masamune. :confused:

As much as I like Aerith and as much as I would love to see her play a more active role, I don't think it would bode well with the story. Cloud is still overcome with grief about doing nothing as Sephiroth killed her. The whole reason why she appears in those scenes with Cloud, IMO, is to help him alleviate that grief and to let it go.

If she were to come back to life, yes, it would ease the grief but it wouldn't be the same. Besides, everybody's wearing the pink ribbon to remember Aerith. :toung: Wouldn't it be weird if she suddenly came back? lol

Hey!! I thought it was unique and something different. Plus, there were in the Forgotten Capital. They didnt' have time to burry her, they needed to KILL THAT #@#%$$!!!!!! ~excuse me for my improper dialogue~ I miss Aerith, and now reading Jerzideva's post, i know what he's talking about. They are wearing the cloth in rememberance of her and if she came back to life.....um..it wouldn't be....right. And i believe also now that she's only in there to guide Cloud out of grief and maybe, maybe, do you think there might be alittle love scene between them??? Or it would blend in because she's dead. Despite those fatcs, I guess Aerith still has more of Cloud than Tifa does..I think. True, I think it is unfair that she seems to have a "bigger piece" of Cloud than Tifa considering the latter was his childhood friend/best friend/love. Now that she passed away, things are getting even worse since Cloud is going to feel so guilty about it. But love is always complicated and there's no real information as of who does Cloud really love? I also believe that there is much more to Aertih than a "boyfriend stealer" :toung:

I remember my older sister not liking her at all though. In her opinion, lacked just about everything. Come to think of it, she didn't even use Aerith as a healer.

I love the way she talks in AC though. He voice is so cute and does seem FULL of energy :amused:. Her voice is like the opposite of Cloud's. Even if she's not with them anymore, she's always herself...good ol' Aerith :love:

Ya, i picked up Aerith by searching on different FF7 sites. I dunno, its strange....But i think, Aeris is her name here, and in Japan its Aerith. I think that's what i read from somewhere??

The reason for Aeris' name is a pun on the word heiress..she is the heir to the ancients. The th sound doesn't exist in the japanese language, which is why Sephiroth is Sefirosu in japan...the u is silent most of the time..it's su because of the kana..su is one letter in hiragana and katakana.. I didn't like much about Aeris either..too freaking perky..the kind of person you don't want anywhere near you when you first wake up, or before your morning coffee, or with a hangover.

I believe she'll be something more then helping Cloud out. No, i'm not talking about ressurection either. I'm thinking that she'll in a way finish the movie, meaning having something to do of defeating Sephiroth. She's going to want her revenge right :evil: :laugh: Anywho, besides my little sentence of revenge, i think she'll be something more then a mere help.

Judging from her attitude in the game, Aeris isn't one to take vengeance and hold grudges. Sure she may get mad at you but it's not like she'll hate you for it. There's Shinra but that's a different story.

Personally, I don't know what other role she'll play in Advent Children. So far, it seems more like giving Cloud a swift kick in the butt and that's it.

Looks like Aerith is the only one with the power to save Cloud from himself. She's going to help him realise important things and make him forgive himself, I think. She's there to remind us about what and who had to be sacrificed in order to save this Planet. And despite the fact that people do die, their spirits still remain and play a much larger role than we think they do. (and that's not only in FF7:AC).

What will happen to Aertih, that's what intrigues me. What will happen when (if) she saves Cloud from his 'depression' and that all ends well for everyone ?
Will she slowly fade away (as in Rest In Peace) but remain in people's memories?
Will Cloud learn how to let go?
Will it still be the same and she'll keep on appearing in Cloud's 'dreams'?
Is she going to reincarnate? Revive?

Her part to this movie leaves many questions. But why won't they show her face! Is there a reason to that? I dunno, i'm thinking that they'll never show her face, she'll be faceless throughout the movie. Maybe SE has their plans, i can't wait to see what they plan for us...if i see her face, *faints*

Do you guys agree that Tseng had a crush on Aerith? I think I'm starting to believe it. I think Turks can pretty much get anything done and that they can capture people pretty easily. So I don't think Aerith on her own could escape from Tseng all the time. Maybe he deliberately let her go and didn't work too hard on this "assignment".

Okie, i found this on my computer, it's a short story featuring Aerith and Ashe. It's remixed with some of fantasy elements as well as new stuff. It might seem alittle off, it's because i cut some parts from the actual story i composed of. The rest soon to come! Hope you guys like it:

Ashe felt her crescent blade beside her hip. Her eyes looked as honest but she was obscure. Brown short hair touched her shoulders, as soft as a chocobo’s feathers, but tickled her chin and was used as an attraction to men.
“Are you up Aeris?”
Aeris is a very modest 19-year-old lady but her soul had been breeded by an evil dark mysterious man named Sephiroth.
He was known as the dark lord who killed his mom but then tried to resurrect her to gain control of Midgar. Jenova is his mother and her sister in law, Hidy, fell in love with the wrong person and thus created Aeris. After the death of Jenova, the second time, Sephiroth lurked the shadows for his daughter. Aeris had the power to resurrect Jenova to her full power and create a meteor to destroy the earth.
Her dark blue eyes matched her clothes, a small blouse and bandanna on her left hand. Her armor that covered her chest wasn’t as hard as a rock as she attached it on. Long dark brown hair, of a Klump, showed her aggression and courage. Although an ancient of the Promised Lands, she kept her life hidden and kept on running with her only friend, Ashe.

Okay, finally after all my exams at school, I was finally able to visit Cloud but sadly he wasn't there. This is what happend......

I entered the church quietly to not disturb the peace and the great energy that was brought from the blooming flowers. I whispered to myself, Cloud, then i walked further into the church until I heard a voice behind me.

Tifa:Cloud isn't hear, I believe he went to visit Aerith. :sad:

Rokit:Oh...may i use your fenrir to go meet up with him?

Jerzideva:TIFA!! COME BACK!!!!

Tifa looks back behind her shoulder hearing the voice she hears every minute.

So i found her bike and then went my way to Ajato (the Forgotten Capital). I found the trees were lighten, and the sound of peace but at the same time sadness. Cloud was in the lake staring inside the deep blue lake with sadness. I decided to lay back to keep his peace.

Cloud:Hey Rokit.... :amazed: (did he just say "hey") I see you came to gave me a visit, I appreciate your efforts. Can you hear the voice of Aeris speaking?

Rokit: :lost: (what voice?) No...you can hear her voice?

Cloud:Yes, she's speaking to me about 'them.'

Rokit:(them=kadaj n the gang) Oh, well, tell her that i said "hi" please. :love: :love:

I left him in peace, he needed her guidance to save the planet. Maybe she's his sin, and he needed to learn how to forgave himself. And i think he did, he's still regaining his strength.

TIFA!!! Come back! Co- Hey, where'd she go? *scratches head all confused* I know! She must've gone with Cloud to visit Aeris! *runs over there, trips on his own feet and falls into water* Blub blub blub.... :laugh:

Everyone looks at Jerzideva for his answer.

Jerzideva: Yea, I'll go with too, but can we please go visit Ti- I mean 7th Heaven?

Rokit: Sure, I was planning to go talk with Denzel anyway.

Cid: Okay kids, we are here! Hurry UP, get the #$%@ out!!

Jerzideva: LOL

We all exit highwind. We began our march towards the church, but something caught my eye and also wingedsephdx, there was a girl who wore Aeris clothes and had the same brunet hair, could it be Aerith?

voice: Kelli!!

The mysterious Aerith-look like turned to find her b/f walking to her. It wasn't Aerith!! :sad:
We proceed our march quietly, I didn't speak a word.

We finally got to the church. There was a fenrir outside, but looked unfamiliar, and wasn't Cloud's bike.

wingedsephdx: Hmn...who's here? Maybe it's the mail guy dude, post guy, delivery service, dude, person. :confused: (we all stare at wingedsephdx puzzeld)

We then began to hear sounds that sounded like punches and a very last kick. WHACK!!! Daeya ran towards the entrance and we followed closely.

Daeya: HUH!!!

To all of our surprizement, it was nothing, absolutely nothing. There was Cloud stting next to the flowers along with Marlene kneeling next to him. BAM!! WHACK!!! The fighting noise was back!! Cloud spotted us from Daeya's loud shriek.

wingedsephdx: what's all that noise coming from?

Cloud: It's Tifa, she's in the back, training.

Jerzideva: :interest:

Jerzideva quickly ran to the back to meet his Tifa while wingedsephdx, Daeya, and I walked ahead to chat with Cloud. The flowers were glimmering with sparkle, the sun was finally setting outside above Midgar.

Marlene: The flowers are nice aren't they?

Daeya: They're beautiful, just like you Marlene.

Marlene began to smile, Cloud got up to talk with us.

Cloud: Later on today, I'm planning to go visit Aeris again. Wanna come?

wingedsephdx: Sure, count me in. BTW, how are you doing Cloud?

Cloud: I'm doing alright, Tifa and Marlene are giving me constant visits and they are helping alot.

Daeya: That's good to hear, I'm glad your regaining your strength.

Rokit: Me too. It's nice to hear your developing. :smile:

Marlene: It's been offly quiet back there... :lost:

Daeya: Yea, i noticed too. Why don't we go back there and check.

We all walk to the back with no clue to what caused the silence. Is Tifa and Jerzideva alright?
We entered the room and nothing was wrong, it was just Jerzideva decided to draw Tifa. He was concentrating not to mess it up, and Tifa was sitting down.

Jerzideva: Finished!

Tifa gets up to see the drawing. :amazed:

Jerzideva: So, what do you think?

Tifa: :amazed:

Cloud: (tries not to laugh) Okay guys, let's get a bite real quick before we go to Ajato.

Rokit: Where are we going to go?

Tifa: We can head to my place, Denzel should be there, Barret is taking care of him.

Daeya: I wonder how Denzel is feeling.

Tifa: He's getting better but sometimes it seems it's getting worse. :sad:

wingedsepdx: Poor guy, I better make him something as a gift or we should hang out.

Daeya: That'll be great wingedsephdx! :amazed:

Rokit: (spots a picture with Aerith in it) That's Aerith....

Tifa: Yes, we took that picture when we first met Rufus. She was so beautiful.

Cloud: C'mon guys, we should be going now....:verysad:

Cloud walks ahead looking down and sad. He doesn't want to show his face, he was crying. We all followed as Tifa grabbed Marlene's hand.

An amazing Daily Doughnut story Rokit. Although sad the the end :verysad: Poor Cloud, how much pain he must feel for his beloved friend Aerith...But we're keeping up; together I can guarantee we can bring his mood back up! *nods* With your help Rokit, somehow Aerith and Cloud will be reunited :confid: As for us, we're all sidekicks here, so let's sit back and enjoy this adventure :love:

We all arived at 7th Heaven where Barret was sitting at the bar drinking a Pepsi. Marlene let go of Tifa's hand to meet up with her delecate friend Denzel upstairs.

Daeya: Poor thing. :verysad:

wingedsephdx: I know, she's very young witnessing her friend in great agony.

Cloud: Hopefully we'll find a cure. (looks away very sad)

Tifa: I'm going to take a shower, you guys go ahead and grab something to eat.

Jerzideva: err....a show- :push: (gets pulled back by Rokit)

Barret: Hi guys, there's some food in the refridgerator. No one eat me damn chicken nuggets!! :confid:

Daeya opens the refriderator. She noticed a drawing of Aeirs on the top of the machine.

Daeya: What would you guys like to drink? There's Pepsi, Sierra Mist, and fruit punch.

wingedsephdx: Pepsi

Rokit: Pepsi

Jerzideva: Tifa Latte....err...I mean Sierra Mist.

We all sit on the stools next to Barret, Cloud walks up the stairs quietly forgetting his offer of a beverage. Barret doesn't look up at us, he just gazes at his pepsi quietly.

Rokit: Hi Barret. :smile:

Barret: Oh heya, i'm sorry guys. I'm not in the best've moods these days.

Daeya: What do you mean?

Barret: I mean, this damn place where living in. It's hell if you ask me. Geostigma is floating the air, who knows, I might even get it. Cloud's got it.

wingedsephdx: Things will get better. :smile:

Barret: I hope so. Cloud's been acting up, yes Aeris died, by why must it take him so long to get over it?!

Jerzideva: meh...It will take time Barret.

Rokit: Who drew that Aeris picture on the refridgerator?

Barret: Marlene did, she's a sweet girl. Marlene was hurt when she found out about her death.

We all leave the place following Cloud outside. Barret remained sitting at the bar with his Pepsi in his hand. He looked back up at the Aerith drawing sadly.

aww! I love those adventures! Sorry for not replying earlier Rokit :push: I should have seen this. Poor Marlene, her pain is the one that saddens me the most. I'm amazed Barret didn't have any of his words censored...And Jerzi is still indeed hooked on Tifa (and will alwas :interest: )

Hello there. i know i haven't been keeping up with my own thread, but it seems not too many are into Aerith. S'ok with me but I will continue it for the one's who are active here.

I did this Aerith drawing (http://img294.echo.cx/img294/853/aerith5ev.jpg) in class. Ionno if i showed this yet but oh well. It's the back of Aerith and her church and the lake.

Aeris *hopes was spelt right* was a pretty coolies character after all she gave her life in return for everyone elses KNOWING she was going to die if she went with everyone. thats someone worth respect , i believe. And most people would hold a grudge against her for silly reasons , as she is fluffy or wears pink . blah blah blah. >.>....but i think she is one damn cool character , and deserves love for saving the world in return for her death. i would say thats the bravest thing i seen any character on ffvii has done. :D. so i am a Aeris fan. muahahaha. and yeah , i agree with rokit , it is rude to go into a thread and just to diss the character. not very nice. : l. makes me irritated too just to hear about it happening x.x; .

First of all, that Aeris drawing's pretty darn good! It didn't occur to me at first that I had to tilt my head so I was wondering why everything seemed out of perspective. :cheesy: But nonetheless, that's very well done!

As for the Aeris wallpaper...
It's very good but I have two things to point out. The next time, see if you can fade the area between the two pictures. It gives a nice effect and makes for a nicer transition. :smile: The other thing is the font. I probably would've went with something cursive...

That's not to say that your Aeris wallpaper isn't good! In fact, I'm loving it! :amused: Just a few tips here and there. :wink:
