Vincent, Vincent, Vincent... What's there to say about him?

For one thing, he's the first Final Fantasy character to wield a gun. Uhh... right? Okay fine... if he's not the first, then he's the only one to wield it with such style! :laugh: But I also like him for a multitude of other reasons.

He's got such a tragic story, both because of what Hojo did to him but also because of his love for Lucrecia. I also find it kind of weird that he would rather entomb himself rather than go after Hojo for what the man did. I mean, c'mon! The mad scientist is ... well, mad. :bigsmile:

As for his transformations...
I don't think he could ever transform into the creatures at will. He had to be provoked until his breaking point before the changes would occur. If I remember correctly, it was because Vincent did his best to suppress his anger but constant provocation would dangerously shorten his fuse, making him more prone to transformations.

Most of the times, I really have a hard time picturing him as a Turk. Sorry to bring up the Turks again, but Vincent was an elite himself. In FF7:AC, it feels and looks like Vincent is one of the rare person who could actually understand Cloud. Vincent is a wandering soul that seems to linger between life and death. A tragic story filled with both love and hate. I guess Chaos is the symbolic of all the rage that's contained in him.
He's very old [i'll get killed for this] which is probably why he's got so much experience and good judgement. A loveable mature character fille with mystery and much to know about.

Hmmmm... It doesn't really say if he's immortal or eternal in the game does it? I'd have to say eternal since he sleeps all of the time. (Man I wish I could do that. :toung: ) But there is a possiblity that he is immortal since Hojo shot him and "revived" him again making him immortal. But that's just my thought.

Ah, the tragic one, Vincent. Oddly enough, my soul is smiliar to his in ways. ><;; When I first heard about Vincent, he was just a creepy vampire dude with a gun. lol It was not until I read up about his transformations, which intirgued me a lot and I began taking a liking upon him too (other than Sephiroth..XP). There have been rumors that Vincent is going to be appearing in Kingdom Hearts 2 (being a fan myself :bigsmile: ) but there really isn't anything that makes it true. (Even though I think it was stated in a japanese magazine of some sort... I can't remember).

Have you noticed that Vincent's eyes in AC trailers are amber? they were red in the game. I think I like that golden amber better..They seem to fit that sexy voice better than red eyes would. No one else has noticed that Vincent in the game has onion buns, in tight leather pants..you can see the shape in the FMV where he crouches on the moonlit rooftops.

I think the other characters of FF7 were going to appear in DoC as minor characters. (Helping Vincent in his quest but not acually fighting along side of him.) Vincent is the main character and then there's Cait Sith :weird: (I still don't really know his true purpose in the game though.)

Otherwise, the game-play looks awesome. I can't wait to use the sniper rifle and take out all the enemies. :toung: (Since I play a online game with a sniper-only server and enjoy taken out all of the people with a sniper. :bigsmile: )

I think Vincent was already victim of Hojo in Before Crisis. It seems like non of the current Turks were Turks when Vincent was one. So he must have one of the eldest Turks ever. Maybe at the time, they weren't required to do "dirty jobs" like nowadays, so that's why Vincent could have been a decent Turk (by decent I meant not heartless like Reno and Tseng seems to be sometimes). :unsure:

Vincent transforming into Chaos. The first and last time he transformed at my save was when I was fighting Safer Sephiroth.
(I think Chaos looked something like this... But it's not exatly EASY to find a shrine to Chaos just to check out. Even artwork was hard to find.)

Chaos is Vincent's level 4 Limit Break. Frankly, it's one freaky transformation. I mean, the errr.. man (thing?) has skulls (right?) flying around before impacting upon the poor victim. Believe me, I wouldn't want to be the one to push Vincent over his limit. :push:

As for Vincent being Sephiroth's father... I'm not too sure about that. I thought it was Hojo? Ack, got to brush up on my FFVII history before I get to Vincent in the FFVII synopsis! *runs off*

Ok, here is the deal:

Vinnyboy worked for Shinra as a Turk before, and was in love with a female scientist named Lucrecia.
Vinny only tells us parts of his story in the game, but it appears that Lucrecia, even though she loved Vincent, went to Hojo instead, because science obivously was more important to her than love. :susp: Soon, she was pregnant, and Hojo (the sick old #"¤!@$$) decided to use the baby as a guinea pig. Vincent disagreed, had an argue with Hojo and got shot, experimented on and put in a coffin.
BUT!
We never get to know what Hojo and Vincent were talking about before Hojo shot him. My theory is that Hojo discovered that Lucrecia's child wasn't his, so he demanded to speak to Vincent and... yeah.

Sadly, Lucrecia must've died before she and Hojo could make another child, so all Hojo was left with, was little Sephy. Sephy was already injected with Jenova's cells, and to make up for Vincent's mistake, Hojo injected some of his DNA into that poor child.
... Which means Seph has two mothers and two fathers!? :weird:

Jenova, Lucrecia, Vince and Hojo. What a good mix! :notrust:

Note that this theory was never confirmed or anything, but I'm pretty sure something similar to that happend.

Well the Vincent being Selphiroths Dad is only a theory. It's believed that Hojo was the father of Selphy. Of course that may be wrong too, only the writer of FF7 can tell us for sure...
