Jerzi's AC Figurines review
Yes, you heard right. I'm reviewing a few figurines. No, not the Tifa one though I do own it. Yeah, you heard right too. I'm not reviewing Tifa. It'd be biased anyway. hahaha
Today, I dropped by a comic store to check out a few mangas. Out of curiosity, I decided to ask about the Cloud and Fenrir combination figurines. "Unfortunately, I don't have them yet but I do have something that might interest you." Following the store owner, he showed me a stack of boxes that had me salivating immediately. Stacked on the floor were Bahamut-Sin, a Shadowcreeper and the Sierra. Needless to say, I bought them on the spot. Now onwards with the review! Bahamut-Sin Bahamut-Sin in the box Bahamut-Sin outside of the box Size The first thing you notice about Bahamut-Sin is how large it really is. Part of what makes it so large are the wings at its side. The [wing] shoulders easily adds an inch on each side. The Bahamut-Sin figurine is slightly shorter than the four (Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa and Vincent) other figurines already released. I'm guessing they had to keep it down and not make Bahamut-Sin too big. The pose, however, is that of it standing up as if taking in the whole scenery and deciding what to do. Hey, I'd be confused too if I just got summoned and landed in a city full of yummy morsels. Details IMO, there's been a painstaking effort paid to the details of this dragon lord. Everything from its claws to its head were very detailed. What caught me by surprise was that they got the transparent effect of his wings as well. That was certainly a bonus for me. Articulation The actual shoulders of the Bahamut-Sin can be rotated forward and back, making for arm movement and extension. The elbows can be rotated from side to side as well, adding for extra reach. The legs and knees can be moved at certain angles, allowing for a limited number of poses. I have it in a standing position in the above picture but I experimented with putting Bahamut-Sin in somewhat of a bent over pose, similar to the pose it had in the movie. The ultimate downside to this figurine is the lack of movable wings. That was a bit of a disappointment to me. I had hopes of opening the wings and making the dragon lord that much more majestic and menacing. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Overall, I'm satisfied with how this one turned out. Shadowcreeper Shadowcreeper in the box Shadowcreeper outside of the box Size The Shadowcreeper, just like Bahamut-Sin, is not proportional to the other figurines. However, its size has not been reduced as much as the summon. It's still relatively big, almost arriving to Tifa's shoulder in height. True to its form in the movie, the Shadowcreeper's pose is caught in mid-stride and mid-turn, possibly altering its course in order to chase Cloud. What I can't fathom, however, is why it has to be so creepy. Maybe that's to emphasize the "creeper" part of its name? Details Nothing has been left out on the Shadowcreeper. Every single little detail is etched onto the figurine. If anything, I would've thought they made the figurine first and then made a 3-D scan of it to use in the movie. Articulation Not much could be moved on the Shadowcreeper. Of the legs, only the two front legs could be pivoted. The front left one could be moved up and down, moving it closer or farther away from the back left leg. The front right leg could be pivoted to the side, meaning either towards the inside of the body or the outside. If pivoted outside, it makes for a weird and painful pose. The other thing that can be moved is the mouth, or rather the lower part of the jaw. It can be pulled open as if it's about to take a bite out of someone or it can be snapped shut. I was somewhat disappointed with this one. I was expecting better joint articulation but I guess the makers were limited at what they could do by its pose. Sierra The Sierra in the box The Sierra outside of the box Size The first thing you notice about this one isn't its size but rather its weight. When I first took it out of the box and out of its platic holder, I was pleasantly surprised at the overall weight of the Sierra. It is, however, front heavy due to its long nose. The Sierra is about the length of the Shadowcreeper. It's actually a bit larger since the engines stick out on each side of the aircraft. Details As with the other two, this flying ship is loaded with details. From the hints of rust on the propeller blades to the pipes on the underside of the ship, everything is there. Heck, if you pay attention, you can even make out some of the bolts used to hold the ship together. Articulation All of the propellers on the Sierra can be moved independently of each other. Notice the three vertical propellers on each engine? They can be moved seperately. Another thing that can be moved are the ailerons (the pointy section pointing down) on either side of the aircraft. There's one on each engine. If you've watched the Dirge of Cerberus FMV sequences provided by sayde, you'll know that those serve for lateral propulsion as well as afterburners for that extra burst of speed. They can be rotated forward and back and, to a certain extend, left and right. Out of the three that I've bought, I think I like the Sierra the most but that's probably tainted by my love of flying airships. Well, there you have it! Those are my views on the three figurines that I bought. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll try to answer them to the best of my abilities.

Re: Jerzi's AC Figurines review
Wow, thankx Jerz, what an amazingly detailed review. I was wondering just how big that Bahamut-Sin, kinda disappointed at the size though...
But can't wait until the Cloud and bike come in. Finally Tifa can get that ride to the seven heaven. God Bless, Souba
