The Lucrecia Thread

ok , ja , i noticed noone made a thread for lucrecia , so i thought i should! I wanted to because i have always found her a interesting character seeing how , she is the ex-love of the doom and gloom vincent , and the mother of sephiroth. :3
so i was thinking about it .." Will she appear in the movie?"
and figured , if she was the lover of vincent and mommy to sephiroth , of course they'd show atleast ONE scene with her in it...i mean c'mon , she couldnt be left out? well i dont know about you guys , but i do want to see her in this movie .. i think having her in it could lead to some interesting scenes but thats just me , but i yeah i just decided to bring her up to see what other people thought... ^.^;;;;;;;!!!!

I do have to admit that Lucrecia played a very big role. How? Well, just look at all that's happened in the game! If it wasn't for Lucrecia, Sephiroth wouldn't be born. If it wasn't for her, Vincent wouldn't be the brooding, immortal being that he is now. Heck, if it wasn't for her, Hojo would probably be out of a job, without Sephiroth to experiment on.

So yeah... I like her. Too bad she didn't make that many appearances in the game.

ja!!! thats why I love her lol , she is a favorite character of mine :3. i respect her alot , because she realized her wrongful doing afterwards. ;0. and ja she basically gave birth to the final fantasy vii story :3 (sephiroth) eee. , so she is more important than anyone else really cared to think about x.x !!. so they SHOULD show her in the movie ..>.>.

Ok ok, enough of that. :P What I meant was, I'm not a Lucrecia fan but I like to discuss about her.

So to start off with...yes, she pretty much is the main story. >.>

It would be interesting to see her in Advent Children. I haven't played FF7 yet, so I don't know this, but didn't Lucrecia die or something in the game?

Question. Why the HELL did Lucrecia choose horrible nasty HOJO than cool VINCENT?! I must say if I were Lucrecia I WOULD NOT MARRY HOJO NO MATTER WHAT. >_< I'm not saying I hate him (actually...I do...), I'm saying that he's just such a bad choice for Lucrecia. Personally Vincent is way better looking than Hojo. And Vincent loved Lucy (can well call her that?) more than Hojo. As far as seeing spoilers, Hojo just treated Lucy like $#!+. And after Hojo ruined Lucy's child, SHE DIED. And Hojo couldn't care less. HOW DID HOJO CONVINCE LUCY TO LOVE HIM?!

Anyway...yeah. :-/

Actually, as the game starts, Lucrecia is already dead.

As for why she chose creepster Hojo...
If I remember correctly, it was because she wanted a scientific type. Or something like that. Well, Hojo certainly has the brains. The brains of a psychotic scientist but he's got the brains nonetheless.

But you gotta admit that Lucrecia has to be one hell of a woman to be able to captivate Vincent's heart for so long, not to mention having such a strong grip on it. I'd like to meet her.

I always pictured Lucretia as a frail kind of person, not particularly self confident, and very sensitive...Yet with a burning curiosity that made her let experiments be performed on herself and her unborn child...The impression I got from the flashback in the game is that Vincent scared her...maybe he was too intense, or maybe it was his reputation as one of the turks, an undoubtably unpleasant group. As for why she chose Hojo, well, he's highly intelligent, and she has to have gotten to know him as they were working on the same project, and looking at an original Nomura Sketch (Attached below) of him, he wasn't that bad looking either...and from the way they embrace in the flashback, she really loved him. I'm not sure, but jealousy over Lucretia was probably the main motive of Hojo's near murder and experimentation on Vincent.

but i still say i feel bad for vincent : l...and i betcha anything , Lucrecia is really thinking hard on how much of a bonehead she feels like for letting hojo use her as a labrat. D: ...

But atleast she knows she did wrong though and thats cool. :D

Dang, meowwl, you're right... As much as I hate to admit it, Hojo doesn't look half bad in that sketch. But then again, that was the original artwork. Tifa looked WAY better in Nomura's artwork than in the game anyway.

But you do make a good point, meowwl. Hojo being more of a geek may have contributed to Lucrecia choosing him over Vincent. Besides, as you mentioned, Vincent was a Turk and it's not like they have the best reputation.

But still... letting your husband experiment on you and your unborn child? I mean, love and curiosity can only go so far, know what I mean?

I think that she probably thought it would be safe enough...by then they have to have been doing other trials, and observed that Jenova cells seemed to make people stronger...The game implies that SOLDIER was around long before Sephiroth...he was just the best of them. I think that they weren't testing whether Jenova cells had an effect on humans, they'd already begun using them on SOLDIERs...They were testing what the effect would be if those cells were integrated into a human at base level, from birth. She thought that she was making her child stronger, smarter, more able, more like an ancient...cause that's what they believed Jenova to be, an ancient.

I decided to try and make a series of WPs for the wonderful thread starters in the Daily Doughnut. They have put a lot of time and energy into creating each thread and have continued to maintain them driven by the love of their favorite character. Without them we could not learn new things about the FFVII characters or come to appreciate them more. So this series is dedicated to you wonderful people you, and to the objects of your affections.
Yeah I wish I could have done a better job, but oh well here it is the last one for all you Lucrecia fans and to Little Wolf who took the time and effort to make a thread for the mother of Sephiroth!
